IT'S HARD TO FIGURE OUT , HOW IT'S GONNA BE
& i don't really know now
---------------------------------------------------------------------
her words were impressively clear considering she was running into things. of course, she wasn't entirely drunk yet. she hadn't nearly had enough. she was just buzzed. however at the rate things were going, it wouldn't take very long for her to be slurring her words completely.to be blunt, casey wasn't a very good drunk. well, she kind of was. kind of. she never experienced the nauseas that most people did when they drank too much. of all the times she'd let herself get extremely wasted, she'd never so much as lost any of it. not at least until the morning, but hangovers were a totally different story. it had something to do with the fact that she was five feet and four inches and weighed all of one hundred and ten pounds. she was this little blonde girl who occasionally took one too many beers and had no way to handle it all. mhm, she was lightweight. but she was good at it, so it worked. from past experiences, she was exceptionally good at holding it all down. however, it only took a few beers to have her giggling like a school girl and dancing randomly around to no music. didn't every one make a fool of themselves when they had one too many? at least she wasn't an angry drunk. in fact, casey wasn't angry ever. she was one of those half-glass-full kind of girls. she just liked to have fun. it was just a habit of hers, she couldn't help it. hah. then there was the fact that if you got a few more in her after that, she would just be so out of it. all of a sudden, she would become this girl who was prone to making a fool of herself and falling on her ass a lot. the girl didn't party, let alone drink very often. she never had reasons to. she hardly had friends to go out with; since most of them were already addicted to some other drug. drugs just weren't her thing, you know? alcohol, she could do. even if she was still a few years away from drinking it legally. whatever. more often than not, she preferred being sober just for the sake of her own dignity, anyway. but yeah, she didn't have huge groups of friends that she could go out and party with all night. she didn't mind though. she really didn't. of course, everyone had those nights in which they just wanted to get buzzed. they just wanted to have a good time and forget about the fact that they were all alone in the world. and drinking was only fun when you got drunk with someone else.
lucky for casey, she had ollie to share the night with. their plans to hang out hadn't fallen through, and as the night went on, things were just getting continuously better. there was no best way to describe how casey felt about ollie. they were decent friends, right? it was one of those high school crushes. like, when you see the cute boy in the hallway and you couldn't want anything more than to be with him. to to mention that he made her nervous as hell; but in a good way. he gave her those butterflies whenever he smiled the crooked smile of his. it was like he was up to no good, and it was the most heart-stopping, adorable thing she had ever seen. even though he could make her nervous, she was strangely comfortable being with him. she wasn't self concious or anything like that. she was too focused on him and what they were doing and all that other stuff. like, his laugh was the prettiest sound and his smile could instantly make her smile. plus, his hair, which was perfectly messed up all the time, like he'd just gotten out of bed, even if he had been up all day. he made her laugh and smile. he was trying to help her be a better person, and to stop with the whole 'thievery' thing. which meant that he must have cared to some extent. that thought only sent her heart fluttering again. see? this was one of those high school crushes that would easily make her sound foolish if she confessed these things. which was why her lips were sealed. she couldn't help but feel immature when she thought about it. there were doubts in her mind, like it wasn't a mutual feeling and she was only embarrassing herself with the idea. she was perfectly fine being friends with him. honestly, hanging out with him was the most fun she'd had since she came to sydney.
so casey had made her way over to ollie's, trying to keep herself from getting too nervous. there was no reason to be nervous, so it was silly of her. her innocent little blonde head had no idea that they would be doing what they were doing. it had started out with hey, want a beer? and that had turned into how about another? and it wasn't like she had bothered to count, okay. they were just friends and they were just hanging out, having a few drinks. whatever, it's chill. it was an innocent night, just for fun and whatnot. like any other lovely night of drinking with a friend, after a few drinks, the topic of limbo came up. seriously though, she was totally convinced that it was the best idea that anyone could have ever suggested in that moment. it was probably just the alcohol, but once the idea was out in the open, it just had to be executed. it was just like. "yes! oh my god. let's limbo. please?" in that cute little voice she used from time to time, with a pout on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. and in her excitement, she hopped off the couch a little too quickly for her currently slightly intoxicated self. thus, she didn't notice the coffee table in front of her, resulting in her falling to her ass and immediately falling into a giggle fit. she couldn't help that her feet were a little less controllable after alcohol was in her body. "plus i'm smaller than you, so i'd win. i mean, no way you'd get as low as me."
she was a nice drunk. an extremely friendly, cuddly drunk. she got giggly and more fun than she already was when she was sober. sober, she was friendly to everyone; it didn't matter if they were nice back. however, the difference was that when she was sober, she could tell if someone was in a pissy mood or not. when she was intoxicated, she saw everyone as friendly and believed that everyone was in as good of a mood as she was. she was ultimately convinced that everyone wanted to dance randomly around the room and cuddle with her. she also had this strange fear of trees when she was wasted, but that was beside the point. she would be bound to start the hugfest sooner or later, depending on how epic the limbo contest was. chances were, it didn't matter how small or low she could get. what mattered was the fact that ollie could probably handle his alcohol much better than she could. it would only be a round or two before she was on her ass again. "i think. i think...i don't know what i think. get a limbo stick so we can do this right nowww." so yeah, that limbo idea was the nicest idea in her mind. the only way he could have beaten it was if he had suggested some kind of drinking game instead. just because that involved more alcohol. it took a lot to get her to start drinking because she rarely ever did it, but once she got started she just kept going.
